The best solution for tidal would be to figure out what broke with the sketchy tidal connect platform (HiTide or whatever on GitHub) and unbreak things enough that it works again. Their setup completely ignores moode and interfaces through alsa iirc so it’s probably something to do with new os components or configurations. I think Tim had it right not to try to officially support this though as its not directly from Tidal.
You can also use something like bubbleupnp or mconnectLite (which handle authentication themselves) to connect tidal to moode through upnp though iirc it’s streaming from your device rather than having the pi handle everything.
True and that dump on GitHub from an iFi Tidal Connect device is definitely sketchy. There are no sources for the binary components and so any breakage due to new OS etc can be difficult or impossible to fix :-0
IMO anyone that subscribes to Tidal or Qobuz and wants to also use a Raspberry Pi as an endpoint player should prolly have a look at Roon + Ropieee. AFAIK the Roon implementation of the Tidal API is really good as is Ropieee's implementation of RoonBridge.

moOde also supports RoonBridge but it's not bundled with moOde because it's not Open Source licensed. If however it's installed by user on moOde it will appear in Audio Config in the Renderer section. I think there are threads in the Forum that discuss installing 32 and 64-bit RoonBridge.
