synchronization playback

Hey,

synchronization playback between two (or even more) players would be awesome!

Thanks

Hi,

Do you mean one moOde player playing to locally attached audio system and simultaneously streaming to other moOde players where all the audio is in sync?

Currently you can use iTunes/Airplay or LMS/Squeezlite to do this using moOde.

I mean if i have two players each connected to a music system. The playlist will then play synchronously on both.

In my scenario i have two music system. One for the lobby and one for the lounge. The boxes are side by side. When you stand in the middle, it sounds really strange because the radio streams are not synchronous.

You know what i mean?

Yes I understand, but moOde does not have the capability to playback locally and at same time send that audio stream to another moode player. That would require integrating something like SnapCast https://github.com/badaix/snapcast

The issue with SnapCast though is that it uses a pipe for getting audio data from MPD and my experience is that thats not a reliable mechanism.
