Suptronics X400?
#21
I don't understand what you mean by "the other card". The Suptronics X400 entry in moOde's I2S device database is coded to configure the IQaudIO Pi DAC+ driver for the device.

Now it picks up the card, has the same driver/"named device"
I dont get the error with radio or the test file.. and it still doesnt make a peep.

I think I'm ready to give up on it.. thanks for the help.. re-assuring me that i've done
over & above what should work.

Other card in that I complained to Geekworm (the vendor) & they couldnt get it to work so they sent a replacement.. now I have 2 identical Suptronics X400's.

I think they probably have 2 different problems.

The last log shows "IQaudIO Pi-DAC" was selected from the I2S device list which won't work for this device. You should select "Suptronics X400".

In any case good luck :-)

Make sure you have the physical jumpers on the x400 board set correctly.

I noticed Suptronics x400 https://wiki.geekworm.com/X400 was taken off the standard config list for Moode. Searching the archives I found this thread so thought it was the right place to see if an alternative config is available.

No worries, change is constant.

Any suggestions for a replacement config? I have lots of these running off older Rpi's, newer Rpi's and zero w's.

Thanks in advance.

I thought this board used the IQaudio DAC+ driver?

Yep, that werx. Thanks. Chip options are there too.

Tim is amazing, even if he is evolving into an AI bot. Maybe someday ~smiley~

Best, and thanks.

There's a thought. With a little effort one could feed all his posts from this forum (and the old diyaudio thread) into a LLM to create a Tim bot. Might have to tweak the interface a bit to make it as nice as Tim Smile
