Problem: camilla DSP, mpd and DSD128 - UPDATE
#1
Looks that there's some problem with DSD128 files, mpd and DSP processing;
yesterday I found that there was no way to play DSD128 and EQ because an MPD error,
so I tried to use camilla DSP successfully,
using a hipass first order filter.

today I started moode, and mpd is giving to me
same MPD error again:

ERRO Playback error: ALSA function 'snd_pcm_hw_params_set_rate' failed with error 'EINVAL: Invalid argument', module: camilladsp
INFO Playback thread has already stopped., module: camillalib::processing
exception: Failed to play on "ALSA Default" (alsa): snd_pcm_poll_descriptors_revents() failed: No such device
exception: Failed to open audio output

I did no modifications.

Raspberry pi 3b+  + hath ifiberry dac+pro

/* UPDATE */

After some time spent troubleshooting, I found out
that after playing an hires PCM 24/192 file,
DSD128 files play correctly °_°
as if playing an 192Khz file "forces" mpd / alsa
to recognize higher bitrates ...
really strange behaviour

I also asked the support of mpd, they told me that
it is a bug of the alsa plugin, they advised me not to use it :-S

ERRO Playback error: ALSA function 'snd_pcm_hw_params_set_rate'

Is this the reason? PCM is a different encoding than DSD. Maybe something went wrong and you picked the wrong encoding mechanism?

DSD64 works flawlessy,
and so did on first day DSD128.
Huh

I discovered that sometimes works... Huh Huh Huh Huh
just triying to play it again and again, switching back and forth with other
hires files, at last it plays (one time). It seems to happen randomly.
Attached a screenshot of audio info when playing
Huh Huh Huh Sad
