Official moOde 7.5.0 support thread
#21
I tried Spotify on 7.5.0 last night. It took several minutes of hair pulling over why I got no sound before I accidentally pressed the volume control on my phone. I have Spotify set to 100% initial volume and completely forgot that the volume is actually controlled by the phone/control point. Seems that the update resets the initial volume to 0. I record this here just in case a fellow traveller is on the same road.

on both version the cover transport while using upnp renderer from bubbleupnp doesn't work. I remember the switch to version 7.0 where we also this issue.

does anyone else have this problem?

I tried with the UPnP renderer first set in UPnP-A/V service type and then set in OpenHome service type.

From BubbleUPnP on my Pixel 3A phone I'm getting cover art either way. However, it seems to take about 5 seconds for the cover to come up in the moOdeUI after a track has started to play. ISTR this is an issue with upmpdli but my memory may be faulty.

Thanks Kent,
was an user issue due to my selfmade updates for upnpcli packages.
did a fresh install and everything is working. my initial post is edited.

Tim,
I did a clean install of 7.5.0 on my pi zero player
I am not seeing the lcd.txt update.
currentsong.txt is correct, but the lcd.txt does not update
if I run manually with sudo python lcdup.py it updates correctly

Also if I toggle LCD engine off and on again it updates once

I have the same behaviour on 2 other players, both in-situ updates to 7.5.0

Hi Tim. I installed 7.5.0. (Clean install)

I am using a RPI 3b with Allo Piano 2.1 with Kali reclocker. Using mConnect to stream to the rpi playing flac 16 bit 44.1 KHz songs are fine but the MQA tracks produce a hissing sound. Worked on the previous version (6).

Thanks

Odd but I'll see if I can repro.

No matter. I set the sampling rates. Issue resolved.

I was able to repro this. Fixed in upcoming 7.6.0 release.

I ran the update yesterday, took about 2 minutes including a reboot, and all seems good.
My setup (usb DAC output) is pretty basic so no surprises!
Thanks to all concerned.

Reboot then post the Moode startup log.

Code:
moodeutl -l
