Compatibility RPI 4 board v 1.5
#1
Hi Folks -- I'm getting a start4.elf error with the new RPI 4 board v1.5 and am unable to boot the latest moode image.

@Tim -- what are you thinking for compatibility timeframe?

The upcoming new release moOde 8.0 will solve this problem. Release is due this quarter and maybe even this month.

dmueller, you are not alone. Other people (and other projects) are seeing this as well.

Other people have gotten the 1.5 boards to boot an older os/kernel, by coping new firmware files into /boot. Oveer at volumio someone did:

"I have it working now. I had a look at the raspberry pi firmware git repo and saw a commit 11 days ago that affected 16 files including start4.elf. I copied just those 16 files (fixup*.dat and start*.elf) over from latest raspbian onto volumio and it booted fine. Music playing, so all sorted."

If you're comfortable copying files around, you could probably give that a whirl.

(02-27-2022, 11:38 PM)Well it boots, etc. However, it does not come up into AP mode, so you\ll have to have a monitor and keyboard attached.  I still haven't had a moment to edit the wpa supplicant file, etc etc. dmueller Wrote:
