Hi,
For many years I have been running moOde on a Pi with HAT Allo Boss dac without any drop.
Now I am running the Topping E30 usb dac. (moOde 8.0.2)
From time to time a track plays only white noise. If I pause and play again there is still white noise.
If I restart the track from the beginning, the song plays normal.
The display of the E30 gives the right frequency even if there is white noise.
I tried changing the output setting from Direct to Default without result.
How could this be solved?

Thanks. Maybe post your config and I'll compare it with mine. I have the same DAC (though I'm on the moOde before v8). Did it work pre-v8? Do you have EQ?

I'm using usb port 2 using your diagram.
A few observations:
1) that config looks like it's for your HiFiBerry Digi+ Pro, not the E30.
2) I'm using a Pi 4
3) You're up against it with your free ram
4) You're resampling using SOX which might be taxing
5) You have a quite old version of moOde.
So I'm not sure how much help I can be! Maybe with your new config file there might be some clues for me/others. Perhaps you're not feeding the DAC fast enough and you need larger buffers. Maybe the log will have some secrets (ie buffer underruns or something else which happens at the time there's the noise) or keep an eye on top and see if the cpu is going crazy at that point.

Well I know it sounds weird but 3 days ago I swapped the E30 usb connector from port 4 to 2. The same one Sehnsucht uses.
So far the white noise has not occurred again.

I'm using 2 & 4 for the DAC and USB hard drive respectively as they're the two USB 3 sockets. Not that I believe I really need the speed for my purposes but I figured I might as well use the faster ones!
