Jazz FM (UK) will stop working on the stream moOde uses
#1
Hello,
I've just checked various radio stations after upgrading to moOde v8 and each time I played Jazz FM there is an announcement that that stream will stop working in a few days. Perhaps it's worth finding a new link and update.
Thanks.

Reading the material on their website and looking at the URLs  opened when I click "Listen Live" in my desktop browser, I suspect they are driving toward a subscription model.

Here's the full HTTP request

Code:

Note it is the same URL we are using now but appended to it is a GET request string containing a ton of suggestive name/value pairs.

Trying to listen to Jazz FM in a browser on my iPad or my Nexus phone opens the page for their downloadable app in the respective playstore.

YMMV.

Kent

That's the same mob as run Scala. Try putting ?aw_0_1st.playerid=BMUK_html5 on the end of the url, that makes the message go away on Scala, I expect it will do the same on JazzFM.

Indeed it does, at least here in USA. Time will tell if this is a (semi-)permanent fix.
