Logarithmic curve setting missed
#1
Hi all,
I did some research here and there, but did not find a hint that helped me. There used to be (long time ago) a customisation setting for hardware volume control:

My question is if there is a way to change the setting somehow else, as the comfortable way via GUI is not there any more?

Somebody any idea how to tweak through SSH maybe?

Volume curving is automatically done by MPD and so no need to do it externally.

Hi Tim,
is there a way to change it manually?

In my case the hardware volume is not changing (by numbers) as the GUI Volume. Different numbers...

I would like to see them synced.

What are you looking at to see Hardware volume?
What audio device are you using?

It is a Rasptouch from Audiophonics with Oled.

See the attached picture.

Whatever you are seeing in the OLED screen is being handled by some script that is external to moOde code. I could be wrong but it looks like the raw ALSA volume is being displayed instead of the mapped volume.

Best to ask the question on Audiophonics support forum.

Ok, will do some more research.

I remember that changing that from linear to logarithmic (or vice versa) in the settings changed the GUI volume numbers to be synced...

Anyhow, thanks for taking care.
