I am running the very last version Of Moode on an USBridge Signature with a wired Ethernet connection.

Since a few weeks, I am facing a new problem when powering on the USBRidge Signature:
The ethernet connection does not become active by itself.

I have to switch off and on again the USBridge or to plug and unplug the ethernet cable in order to see the Green and yellow led of the RJ45 connector blinking.

I did check my ethernet cable and my switch: they are both OK

Any idea or suggestion for solving the (annoying) problem ?

Try looking in the kernel startup log for eth0 errors.

The log entries below show a large time gap between when the Ethernet driver (ax88179) is loaded and when the eth0 interface becomes ready.

It also shows the Ethernet link initially coming up at 1000 Mbps but then dropping down to 100 Mbps.

This suggests possible incompatibility between the Ethernet hardware in the SIG and the Ethernet switch you are using. Try connecting the SIG directly to the Router without the switch in-between.

Thank you Tim for Helpink me seeking in the right direction..

As I have been using the same switch for years with my USB Sign without any problem, I went for a deep cleaning of my switch which seems to collect all the dust of the house, and I did replace the ethernet junction cable linking the switch to the ethernet rack panel.

My Ethernet connection is no longer failing
