1) how you captured the log if the Pi isn’t connected to the LAN.

2) why an RPi4B has no wlan interface…did you fiddle with Config.txt?

No, nothing has been changed by command line and nothing in config has been changed with the setup scripts since ages ago either, only change is updates, I haven't added any music for a wee bit either.

Try a fresh image.
Enjoy the Music!

Hi Tim,

Here's the log as previously requested...

Looks like the log is similar to scotsmist logs that was posted earlier.

Log states that the network is unreachable and curiously shows that the ethernet address is not assigned with no active network interface. However, in my instance, the IP address of the Raspberry Pi is set via DHCP from the router. Nothing has changed with my network configuration since quite a few moode releases. This issue has only just started with the latest update.

The network adapter must be configured correctly (at some point after booting) given that I can remotely connect via ssh to the Raspberry Pi and obtain the moode logs :-)

In System config set "Wait for Ethernet addr" to "Yes", Reboot and then examine the log. If the DHCP server on your network does not assign an address to the Pi within the 90 second default then you could try increasing the "IP addr timeout" setting.

Just keep in mind that normally DHCP address assignment is almost instantaneous and so long waits for an address suggest some sort of issue with the DHCP server or other component in the network.
Enjoy the Music!

Did a ping test from a cold boot to see how long it took to get a response back. Took just under 30 seconds to get a ping response.

Checked the system config setting "Wait for Ethernet addr". It was initially set to "No". After switching to "Yes" the problem was resolved - no more issues with the music library/mounting the NAS  Smile

Hi,

I believe you should edit the very first post in the thread; from there you can change its status to resolved.

Cheers, Al.
