Well,

first of all PeppyMeter needs to be seamlessly integrated, which is not yet the case...

The challenge with integrating PeppyMeter which btw is a very nice display option is that the plumbing is kind of complex and it only supports locally attached displays.

My preference for a VU meter option is to implement Web VU meters. This would allow the VU meters to be shown in any Web Browser similar to the other screen savers in moOde. If any dev is interested in working on this then let me know.
