Problem: HDMI local display
#1
I have searched the forum for the answer to no avail.  Can anyone advise me whether it is possible to have a HDMI local display on a Pi1B.  So far I have failed to get it working. - Just returns to terminal view.  I am assuming it is a resource issue, but just want to be sure before I give up.
Is there a general setup guide for the HDMI local setup?

There is no setup beyond turning HDMI port and Local Display on in System Config. Screen size is automatically queried by the display startup script.

Sometimes a reboot is needed after Local Display is turned on.

Thanks Tim. Tried the same setup on a Pi2 and it worked fine - maybe memory limitation of 1B - when supply of Pis starts again I can upgrade it finally
