[SOLVED] In place update failed???

All was fine with 8.3.0
Spotted in place update....and went for it...(didn't backup existing  )

Now.....there is no source in folder view....and can't get back into configure.

Is it best to reinstall 8.3.0 please??

I had exactly the same pb on one of my rasp 4

I tried a fresh install with the last version and it didn't work either.

I didn't look further to understand the problem, and thus, I went back to 8.2.5 (and not even 8.3), and it worked as it has to be.

also saw this issue on 1 RPi4. On another the upgrade worked. On a RPi3 the upgrade worked. On the faulty box I just installed the latest 8.3.1 from scratch successfully (and immediately). The show must go on.... So you can try the same of course.

Looked briefly at the logs - they are now lost, but it was some time out error

So maybe it still worth it to publish the logs here if you have the faulty box running, since probably your box is still accessible via SSH

Well....chose to revert to a fresh install of 8.3.0...and I'm flying again
