My MoOde player is very active on the Internet....BTW nothing was playing on this player at the time ie a 24hr period 

Is this spyware? Bitcoin mining? Doing work for SETI? Or....?

If you want to do a packet trace of network activity on moOde run the tcpdump command for a period of time and then examine the contents of tcpdump.txt

pi@rp3:~ $ sudo tcpdump > ./tcpdump.txt
cat ./tcpdump.txt
