Hi Johan,

If you want to have your feature implemented then u have to ask the developer of ashuffle. Its not something that I have any control over.

Hi Johan,

It only supports excluding things. There is no --include which I think is what you are asking for.

Hi Johan,

I can add to the TODO list but no time frame on when I'll personally be able to get to it but if another dev wanted to take on the feature then I'd be happy to work with him/her.

The feature would require:

- a php/html config screen for ashuffle
- a sql table to contain the config
- a link on the Audio config page for "CONFIGURE auto-shuffle"
- logic in a few other modules to add the configured --exclude(s) to the shuffle launch string

Hi,
I dont want to blur this topic but the shuffle function wont work for me since using the payed versions of Moode. Only when I put some files on a usb stick I can use it in Moode 4.0/4.1
But now my setup is a wd elements USB3harddisk with 38K songs on it.

So today I tried to go back to the usb stick setup: Did RESET and RESCAN in Moode/Config/Sources/Music Source Config. Tried several Update Folder in de BROWSE tap on the usb connected stick.
Result: Shuffle with USBstick is working
Same with the USB3 WD Harddisk: NADA
Tried other USB2 Harrddisk: NADA

And yes I activated the random and consume after setting the Auto-Shuffle in Audio Config/MPD.

Is there any limitation on the amount of songs for this function to work?

Regards,
Har

What exactly do you mean by "won't work" ?

If after the last track finishes a new track is not automatically added then try the steps below

Code:
1. verify that auto-shuffle is actually running
pgrep -l ashuffle

2. examine MPD log and look for anything suspicious
cat /var/log/mpd/log
