Amazon Music as a stream ?
#1
Is anybody able to stream Amazon music through MoOde ?

Mr. Google mentioned something , that you need to be a Commercial Device creator that wants to integrate that feature in there device, then you will get support or at least the possibilities. BUT you also need to integrate Alexa ( and send Amazon the data :-| ) So I wonder if somebody was able to just do it on MoOde ?

Why not just stream it via Airplay or Bluetooth?

Thanks for this hint :  And under https://github.com/Jaffa/amazon-music it is more clear: the author wanted to get Alexa integrated and there is no API available for this when you are not a commercial developer. So I was wrong regarding it is not possible yet. Streaming only the music from Amazon Prime is already working ! This are good news. So it would be possible to extend MoOde also for Amazon like Spotify.

Then you would have two UI - one for selecting the stream and the other to control MoOde, nor ?  As I don't have an AM account I can't try it. Maybe somebody else tried it already ?

You use the AM app for everything. moOde just acts as an Airplay or Bluetooth receiver to render the audio stream sent to it by the app.

Amazon is now offering lossless audio HD https://www.amazon.com/music/unlimited/hd - a very attractive (i. e. cheaper) proposition Smile

Can audio be played by uPNP like Tidal and Quboz? Is Airplay and BT enough for the SQ?

I've never used Amazon unlimited, but this will definitely be interesting to see how Spotify respond.

After using Amazon Music HD for a few days now I can say without hesitation it's fantastic :-) Virtually my entire ripped CD collection is available as 16/44.1 or higher, lossless (FLAC) streams Even some of my vinyl rips which to the best of my knowledge were never released on CD appeared as HD albums :-)

Another great aspect of the service is that Amazon chose to use lossless FLAC format for it's streams :-)) You just can't beat that, and combined with the low price and super nice App its going to be a winner for sure.
