Online update : ALWAYS fails
#1
Hi,

Downloaded latest moOde Audio .img and flashed it.
Works flawlessly.

Once started, I try to update the thing with the "online update".
Update finishes and says "Done".

I then wait a long time before rebooting to be sure it has updated indeed.

But EACH time I do this, the Pi4 does not reboot.
Even after 10 minutes, it is still at the boot process...

I am probably doing something wrong as no onelse seems to have this problem...
Or does someone else experiecen the same thing ?

Regards.

What do you mean by "online update" because there is no in-place update for the latest release.
Enjoy the Music!

Hi Tim,

I took the image that was there about 10 days ago.
Think it was still 8.3.1.

It reported an update.
Applied it.

Waited about 12 hours after is said "Done".

Rebooted.

No reboot...

Not a problem : I will reflash the image and will stay away from online updates.

The only thing a little annoying is that it will require to reconfigure the ParametricEQ :-(

Not really long but a little annoying :-)

FRESHLY FLASHED 8.3.2 does not boot. Something is definitely wrong with my Pi4 I think :-(

Hi,

OKI. Flashed moOde 8.3.2 on the SD card.

It boots OK it seems.

First thing I want to do is create a path to the library.
I ask moOde to scan for librares and it finds one.
But I know this does not work, so I create the path manually.
Once it's created I click on "SAVE".
And there => for ever spinning wheel and on reboot => no reboot.

Not sure what is happening :-(

Hi,

Sorry for those replies to myself, but I give info "in real time".

It looks like my Pi4 is indeed defective : the same thing happens with moOde, Volumio and rAudio.

At this point, the only common thing between all failures is the Pi itself...

Will try to find out what is happening.

Are you using the same microSD card for all the O/S ?
What power supply (specs) are you using for the Pi4 ?
