Sorry if i missed this in earlier release notes. Is writing the moode image with dd now deprecated? Reason I ask is because I'm trying to do an new install using a debian 12 machine and I can't find the rpi-imager in the debian repos.

The Setup Guide contains information on the new Security configuration of the ISO images. There is a link to it at https://moodeaudio.org and also a link to the Raspberry Pi Imager download page.

Thanks Kent, that’s an impressively diehard work around, I approve! Turns out though that I caved on the rpi4 imager. I installed the snap and now have a working installation. I’m surprised boobs at Debian is maintaining for 12 though.
