Can't save backups
#1
On a fully up-to-date chromebook running chrome it's not impossible to save moOde backups.  Attempts are blocked with the message "insecure download blocked. backup blah.zip can't be downloaded securely.  Discard/learn more".  Learn more takes you to a page with a lot of writing, none of which is a literal "follow these steps to allow the download".  Certainly disabling "safe browsing" didn't sort it.

I guess this is because moOde serves up pages over http.  I imagine at some point browsers are going to prevent any use of http pages.  Are there plans to migrate to https?  In the mean time I'll use firefox.   Would it be possible to have the backup created locally, say in /tmp so it's deleted automatically, so I can use ssh/rsync to retrieve it myself?

Edit: Ok, I played around and sorted it. It's very unintuitive. On the popup, in addition to the "discard" (they mean "don't download" as it's not been downloaded at this point) and "learn more" links, much of the dialogue itself is also clickable and this takes you to the download page where you can "keep" (they mean "download"!) the backup.

Great that solved it yourself.

About the other question: yes there is a cmd line tool for the creating backups.
It is called backup_manager.py and is located in /var/www/util.
