I have used BubbleUPnP server on macOs in the past, but I don't really see what use it can be made here. Kazoo works very well on its own (but with UPnP swithed on OpenHome, thanks again, Kent). But I'm not a great expert on all that, perhaps I missed something RE: Can´t connect via MacBookPro-Qobuz - the_bertrum - 04-16-2024 (04-16-2024, 10:52 AM)yannig Wrote:(04-14-2024, 05:53 PM)Alexus Wrote:(04-14-2024, 02:53 PM)yannig Wrote:I installed BubbleUPnP for MacOS, it is done in the Terminal, so it is working perfectly also in MacOS(04-13-2024, 07:30 PM)Alexus Wrote:(04-13-2024, 05:49 PM)yannig Wrote: another solution is to use Airfoil & Airfoil Satellite. BubbleUPnP Server is something different to BubbleUPnP. Yes, indeed, that's why I don't understand what to do with it here (I've used BubbleUPnP server on macOS in the past). But like I said, maybe I missed something RE: Can´t connect via MacBookPro-Qobuz - the_bertrum - 04-17-2024 (04-16-2024, 10:23 PM)yannig Wrote: that's why I don't understand what to do with it here I confess, neither do I. It looked like some confusion between the two was creeping in to the thread which prompted my comment. If I understand you correctly, you are wanting a control point that runs on your MacOS machine, for which Linn Kazoo is probably your best bet and you are already using ![]() RE: Can´t connect via MacBookPro-Qobuz - MikeyFresh - 04-17-2024 (04-13-2024, 04:32 PM)Alexus Wrote: Maybe there is some of you who installed successfully Qubuz on a Mac Notebook or Desktop in combination with Moodeaudio, this would be very helpfull. That simply does not exist, you will notice under the little speaker icon drop down on the Qobuz desktop UI that it states UPnP "in beta", however Qobuz confirmed years ago that has been abandoned and will never see the light of day, now you must wait some undetermined amount of time for Qobuz Connect, which will not be UPnP compatible. The above forces you to use a 3rd party app, on iOS that would be mconnect, on Android that would be BubbleUPnP. For the Mac desktop, your best bet is a program such as LMS, which would run in the background and offer you access to Qobuz (with actual login credentials only) through it's Qobuz plugin. No that is not the actual Qobuz desktop client, but yes it will show you things you've setup in that desktop client including favorites, purchases, playlists, etc... As stated, LMS itself runs in the background, you access it via web browser using the Material skin plugin, which looks rather sharp for a free solution. While LMS is fully compatible with macOS, since you are accessing it from any web browser, it can also run on hardware as humble as the Raspberry Pi with no issues at all, and still be accessed by the Mac's (or any other) web browser. BubbleUPnP Server is a bit of a misnomer, however if you read the website description of what it is and is not, it's clear they state it is not a standalone server program, more a set of extensions for any existing UPnP server instance that helps make certain (mostly older) broker renderers actually work. The confusion reigns because there is also an Android app called BubbleUPnP (note the lack of "Server") which is a UPnP control point and can be used (with proper subscriber credentials) to directly access Qobuz and stream it to an endpoint such as Moode. In the use case described here, BubbleUPnP Server doesn't help get from point A to point B, but BubbleUPnP (Android) definitely would. |
