[SOLVED] new Moode with Squeezelite renderer undetectable

Hi,

i'm using MoOde (6.4.2 2020-02-12) on a RPI 3B+ since months now, without any problem... and with a lot of fun ! I use it with the squeezelite renderer, the Logitech Media Server is running on my Synology NAS.

I've decided to setup a second RPI with the last update of MoOde (6.7.1 2020-07-22). I configured it the same way as the first one.

Unfortunately, there is no way to detect the new device (the new RPI with MoOde 6.7.1 and the squeezelite renderer) on the LMS network. Neither LMS, nor the other squeezelite devices can detect it and synchronize with it.

The first RPI is still well detected. I would add that I've tried to detect the new Moode/Squeezelite device with and without the first one connected.

Would you have any idea of the origin of this issue ?

The spotify and the bluetooth renderer do not work too.
- spotify: I see the deivce in the spotify app and can select it, but no sound is going out from the RPI
- Bluetooth: I can pair my phone with the RPI, but no sound.

The only way to use moode on this RPI is through the regular MPD: web radios and library are working.

If your other one is also host name = moode then there will be issues. If it's a different host name then try rebooting your Router.

I don't use a Synology NAS. I'm running LMS server on a LInux Mint box. It works fine with my moOde 6.7.1.

One thing which jumps out at me in your system info report is that your moOde 6.7.1 has been assigned IPv4 addresses for its WiFi interface and gateway but an IPv6 address for DNS. I don't run any IPV6 gear here so can't test this mixed mode configuration. Since you say you can play web radios, it would seem you can at least resolve external domain names but still....

Do you see this same mixed IPv4/IPv6 configuration in your "working" moOde 6.4.1? (I assume the two RPi/moOde players are on the same WiFi segment.)

I changed the host name. It helped for spotify and the bluetooth. But there is still no way to get the RPI detected has a Squeezebox.
I changed the name of the first RPI, I disconnected it, reboot several time the rooter, the LMS server, the devices without success.

@TheOldPresbyope I don't understand why I have this mix between ipv4 et ipv6 in my wifi. The DHCPv6 isn't activated on my router.

Ok, I finally made it.
I made several clean installations, definitely removed the old RPI from the network. I carefully took precautions to avoid IP or Host names conflict.
And it works !
