Hi all,
I've just bought an Allo USBridge Sig that came with MoOde pre-installed. I have to say that I am impressed with the thought put into the (MoOde) out-of-the-box experience - booted up and browsed to the IP and there it was, ready to play a test tone
I'm also very pleased with the degree of thought gone into the audio chain. My listening room is pretty compromised (too small) so parametric EQ is an absolute must-have to tone down the room response. Previously it was a real fiddle to (remember to) start JACK, Carla, and the PEQ plugin on my laptop, and I never got around the fact that the patching got forgotten every time the audio device was dropped (i.e. when the player stops playing). Now I have set it up once and can forget about it!
As for the rest of my system, my library is stored on an HP Proliant server running FreeNAS (in another room!), wired Ethernet, and the USBridge USB output feeds a Schiit Bifrost, Nakamichi IA3 and a pair of Tannoy Revolution R2s.
I will get used to things and then see how I can contribute around here, but for now thank you so much for what you've created. Monthly donation very gratefully put in place!
Cheers,
Ian
