Upcoming moOde 8.3.1 release (Q2 2023)

Hi,

Here are the latest WIP release notes for upcoming moOde release 8.3.1 (Q2 2023).

A nice dynamic range option has been added to CamillaDSP volume that allows the volume curve to be adjusted and the MPD/CamillaDSP volume proxy has been improved in the bump to version 0.3.0.

   

Help for the GPIO Config screen now includes a pinout diagram.

More WIP release information.

1. We will be bumping to the latest Raspberry Pi Linux 6.1.y kernel to enjoy all the bug fixes and improvements from the kernel devs :-). This required some updates to our nice build tooling compliments of @bitlab and the test images are looking great.

2. Fixed a race condition bug that can cause importing of Pi Imager WiFi credentials to fail.

3. Had to replace the Allo custom ASIX driver with the stock ASIX driver because the Allo driver build fails under the 6.1.y kernel and the Allo driver has been unmaintained with no new releases since since mid-2022.

Latest WIP release notes.

All the nice stations in the FluxFM group have been updated with the latest UR's being used by Flux. There are also 6 new stations.

It appears that FluxFM is migrating from their internal 320K MP3 streaming platform to the Radiosphere streaming platform at 64K AAC. I'm guessing that at some point the 320K streams will turned off? They still maintain a list of these stream links at https://archiv.fluxfm.de/radio-livestream/
