Solved: Queueing album tracks starting from the middle
#1
Moode has been working for me really well over the last two years. There is just one inconvenience that I think could improve the user experience when playing albums. I am used to the UI of the Spotify desktop app. I usually select an album, click on a track's play icon and it plays from that track until the end of the album. Moode works differently, when you open the album (that is: select "Show tracks") and click "Play" on an individual track, it only plays that track alone and finishes playback afterwards. If I want to play an entire album I have to click play in the album cover. If I want to play an album, but starting from a track in the middle I have to first add the album to the queue, then open the queue album and locate the required track and start playing it, which is inconvenient compared to Spotify. I rarely access the queue in the Spotify Desktop/Android apps, particularly if I want to play a single album. So my concrete suggestion: when clicking "play" on individual track should play the album until the end.

I recognise that everyone's preference for running software differs and the current way managing the playing queue works for many. On the other hand, borrowing a few user interface ideas from established applications would not be a bad idea in my opinion, especially given that Spotify is the most popular streaming service in the world. This can make Moode more familiar to larger audiences. Besides, Spotify is the only streaming service supported by Moode natively.

Go to "m" => preferences => library, and for the item "Track Play" chose "Track +". From now on, clicking on a track and chosing "play" will play the track and all the following ones.

Amazing, there is a setting for everything! Maybe this should be the default behavior, since this is how the popular players work.

Cannot decide whether this should, or not, be the default; anyway, since the setting is remembered and it takes roughly 10 seconds to change it, I don't see as a blocker to enjoying moOde...

Might be a good idea. I'll add to the TODO list.
Enjoy the Music!
