Hello all!
Finally I was able to join this forum!
I am Italian, but since many years I live in Spain. A couple of years ago I started playing with RPI and audio, to build my own media player.
I tested different solutions, then I tried moodeaudio and I stuck with it, as it is the most complete solution I have found in terms of features, quality of the software and constants upgrades.
I am running moode on a RPi4. At first I was using an HifiBerry AMP2 with a 5" LCD screen and a case I built, then I bought a TEAC amplifier to connect a turntable, so I switched to an HifiBerry DAC+ and I still have to build a new case for it. At the moment I have everything assembled on a cardboard box, with cables flyting around
I wrote a small piece of code to drive a LED that blinks when music is playing and is steady when idle and drives the brightness of the led and the screen, based on time of the day. It needs still some love, but it could be a nice add on for Moode. Unluckily my PHP is very rusty (and I don't like PHP at all) so I wrote this in Python, as a standalone daemon, but I would like to integrate it more with Moodeaudio and may be contribute it to the project.
I hope I will be able to contribute and be of help.
