Automatic Playback and Volume Control via Bluetooth
#1
Question
Hello,

I'm looking for a solution to listen to my training sessions continuously throughout my home and I came across Moode Audio, which finally proves that open-source on Raspberry Pi can surpass commercial solutions!

My Bluetooth speaker goes into standby and disconnects after 10 minutes of inactivity, so I’d like to know if Moode Audio can automatically reconnect it in such cases. I use a small Bluetooth speaker that clips onto my shirt and I’d love to know if i can resumes playback from where I left off when I turn on the speaker, it reconnects via Bluetooth and I press the "play" button on the speaker.

Currently, with my MP3 player, I have to restart playback manually every time it reconnects, which is quite inconvenient. Ideally, I’d like to control everything directly from the speaker, using it to reconnect, continue or pause my audio, without needing to interact with the program itself. Does Moode Audio handle this differently?

Additionally, are the volume buttons on my Bluetooth speaker natively supported by Moode Audio?

Thank you for your exceptional work and your valuable contribution to the audio community !

Your usage scenario is not supported by moode but in general most bluetooth speakers will attempt to reconnect to the last paired client.

Thank you for your response.

Does this mean that if the attempt to reconnect works and I press "play" on the speaker, the music will not resume from where it left off?

Right. moode only handles connect/disconnet from Bluetooth speakers.
