Merge 2 albums together, for album view
#1
Lightbulb
I have a multi-disc CD set, and it seems in album view it shows each CD separately. Is there anyway to merge them into one?

It looks like it's taking the meta data, as I put all the tracks into a single folder. It's displaying them as the meta data, so [Disc 1] [Disc 2] etc

I'm coming from Plex, which lets you merge albums together. I can't see a way to do it.

Also, is there anyway to reset all settings back to default? I'm new to moode and want to revert all settings to default as I have been playing around somewhat.

Thanks

1. all the tracks must have the same text in the album tag (so no fancy "- disc 1" / "- disc 2" appended to it)
2. every track must have the disc number it belongs to in the relevant tag
3. not sure if mandatory, but I also always set the "total discs" tag too.

Then do a library update.

So it is using the TAG data, so looks like Im going to need a TAG editor to fix it. Im on Mac so I need to find something.

I am using kid3 as it supports multi-tags, e.g.for genres.

Thank you, switched to XLD, and I'm loving the AccuRip option, I'm just checking the meta before hitting the extract, and that seems to be doing the trick. I use AIFF for my library anyway in iTunes, so I will continue to use that.

I found that using this for albums with multiple discs helps to keep them in the same folder by using a disc number at the beginning of the filename (%A - %T - [%f]/%D-%n - %a - %t).

I just make sure the "Album Artist" is the same for each disc in the set, and that works.

That looks good I might use this to tidy up old rips, thanks
