[PROBLEM] No Output on Local Display

Hello together,

I am building a small and cheap streamer with a HIFIBerry DAC2 Pro and now have a Problem with my 7" display that I want to use. When I connect the display with the Raspberry Pi and moode 8.3.7 (same with 8.3.5 and 8.3.6) running I am not able to get an output but using Raspberry Pi OS the display works as intended. I also tested older moode versions from 8.1.2 onwards with the same result.

The display I use is a Waveshare IPS 7" touch screen. I also changed the config.txt as the waveshare wiki suggests (link). 
In this thread (link) someone suggested to try the username pi and the password moodeaudio, which did not work for me. For other users similar problems seem to just magically disappear without really knowing why.

Has anyone an idea what I am doing wrong? Am I overlooking something or is this maybe a driver issue? Hopefully the solution won't be to get another display (if so I am open for suggestions ). As for now I really have no clue what else I should try. If I am missing any information which could be helpful just tell me and I will deliver it.

These log entries are very odd because an I2S DAC like the hifiberry should always be assigned to ALSA card 0 but the log is showing it's assigned to card2 and is a USB DAC.

There should also be the lines below in /boot/config.txt after configuring the correct device in Audio Config. According to the spec for this DAC you should set Named I2S device to HiFiBerry DAC+ Pro or optionally DT overlay to hifiberry-dacplus

Haven't even seen that. Not sure if this happened when I integrated Tidal Connect using the script by GioF71 and fiddled around a bit or just forgot to set it. I corrected it and the log now looks like this again:

The lines in the config.txt are therefore added, too. Interestingly this hasn't been a problem at all when playing music before. Tidal Connect also worked just fine.

Unfortunately I now have a MPD Error and can't play anything at all. Not the best start to solve my display problem.
