Hello from Titonka, Iowa USA

Hello MoOdeites and Pi people.  The email said an introduction was in order.

My name is Russ, a retired radio/electronics technician now living in the big city of 500 in Titonka, Iowa.  I’m an (almost) 40 year Amateur Extra holding the call KB8DPN.   I’m a tech freak, and love things like Pi projects, computers, audio, etc.  I’m here to learn.  Ran across an old Pi 2 today that needed a function.  A quick image burned to SD wit MoOde, and now have a new little server running on my network.  Wonderful program, so much to learn and discover.  I’m limited in sight, but still trying, although this stuff isn’t getting any bigger.

Anyway, hoping to make some new and interesting tech acquaintances, learn some new stuff and enjoy.  It’s a pleasure to be here amongst all of you.

Hi, Russ, and welcome.

I'll be honest. I had to look up Titonka. My mother's parents were located in Sioux City but I guess we never roamed too far East. It's been decades since I've been in Iowa, though.

You'll find folks here who have all sorts of projects going. The one thing we have in common is enjoying the music.
