It's hello from me
#1
I'm Tom. Retired but busy with Linux, general hacking and I like music - a lot.  I've been looking for something to play my favourites while I drive but without spaying pots of cash for the likes of Spotify.  After finding moOde via Linux Format mag, I thought I'd give it a go.  I think in terms of hobbies, I can see this has so many features that it will keep me very busy playing for a while.   So thanks go to everybody that works on the project. And it's hello from him.

(I'm guessing that reference may be too obscure these days)

I had to look it up. Both Monty Python and Benny Hill episodes made it over to this side of the pond but I don’t recall ever seeing Ronnie Barker or “the Two Ronnie’s” here.

So it’s goodbye from him.

Showing my age now but I got it.  I thought it was the two Ronnies?

Brilliant! Yes, Two Ronnies, a classic of 70's and 80's British comedy.

Probably their most famous sketch is this:

Yes, that one always has our household in hysterical laughter... just the slow build, the repetitive expectation, the mutterings and straight faces from both...
Cool

I was the tech director for my grandkids’ high school drama club. I admired both these characters’ performances and the wonderful set they were performing in. Took a minute for the punchline to soak in, though Smile

I've just watched or should I say re-watched them. 1st one is a classic funny one but the 2nd is genius.  I dont know how they kept a straight face.
