Indeed, I don’t boot from USB.

I don’t see any additional information when I enable debug logging and then update.
is there any log that is more verbose than moodeutl —updlog ?

I’m stumped.

There’s nothing that jumps out at me from your logs, save one odd warning in your startup, log

Code:
Chromium cfg:    WARNING: directory /home/peter/.config does not exist

I don’t knows why that would affect an update. OTOH, I don’t know how it could have gotten deleted. It could be conjectured that whatever did that also caused other problems not visible in the logs.

I tried again installing a fresh moOde 9.2.4 and then updating it in-place to 9.2.5. Worked like a charm.

Because of the nature of the updating process, I cannot try progressively updating through successive versions of moOde (say, 9.2.3 -> 9.2.4 -> 9.2.5) so I can’t rule out that something goes wrong doing that. OTOH, I don’t know why something would.

I’m out of ideas, sorry.

Regards,
Kent
