Im a long term user of moode. Going back at least 10 years. When its working with my Ian Canada/Aya2 dac on the I2S lines its superb sound, better than very expensive usb dacs i own.
But ive always had connection issues, one day it will connect, next day it wont, to the point that i gave up on it . Just too frustrating .
Ive tried various builds over the years, but always the same connection issues.
This week i was pleased to see a new build that looked like it might be easier to configure and use.
So downloaded correct file and loaded it into my Pi4 .
Again, same result, no connection to my mac/chrome , even with ethernet cable.
As a last resort used Safari browser and the connection was made, with a nice looking new moode on screen.
Thought maybe the connection issues were finally fixed, but no, when i went configure page to load device, moode disappeared, and nothing i can do will resolve a connection.
Now i cant and wont use command prompts to sort this out, and you might look down on me for my poor computer skills, but im an audiophile , not a computer nerd.
Im also the type of person that will (and have) happily donate when im pleased with an app. And i know plenty of other older audiophiles that will do the same, but jeez its got to constantly do the job.
I guess ill just keep coming back every few years and hope the developers attach some importance to connection for ordinary computer users, that dont have the skills or inclination to debug these issues.
I really like moode and wish the best for it, but jeez its a hard slog using it.
