Hi all! I love the project and want to use it for all my Roon endpoints. I am running into an issue on my Motu m4 connected to a rpi3. It has distortion/static sounds during playback. To rule it out, I have used it directly on my mac without issue and tried Volumio, which seems to work with it correctly. What settings or adjustments could I make to further troubleshoot the source of the issue? Thanks in advance!

I don't want to anticipate the support team, but the pi3 (especially the non B+) has limitations with USB audio, especially with with higher sampling rates.
Also using onboard wifi + bt is problematic.
What's your setup?

Reboot and then post the entire contents of the startup log.
The log can be viewed via the SSH command moodeutl -l or downloaded via the Logs section in System Config, or via Menu, System info from any of the Config screens. The startup log will be at the end of System info output.

I actually tried it with the allo usbridge signature as well and had the same issue. I will pull logs and post here.

moOde uses the stock Linux USB audio driver and generally most devices work perfectly fine but there are exceptions where a particular USB audio device has issues.
Some of these devices (or device families) have fixes in a "quirks" config file in the Pi Linux kernel.

I don't see anything suspicious in the log.
Maybe some sort of incompatibility between motu USB receiver and the usb audio driver in PiOS linux kernel 6.6.74 that moOde uses??
If you are just going to run roon endpoints then I'd recommend going with the nice Ropieee solution.

I don't see anything suspicious in the log.
Maybe some sort of incompatibility between motu USB receiver and the usb audio driver in PiOS linux kernel 6.6.74 that moOde uses??
If you are just going to run roon endpoints then I'd recommend going with the nice Ropieee solution. Thank you for checking. I will take a look at Ropieee for this use case but I will want to use Moode for an upcoming boombox build. The Bluetooth support will be great to heave in a pinch.

Only the Motu Microbook II is in the quirks file. I notice the product overview for the model IIc of this device has as a badge that says "Now USB Audio Class compliant for iPad".
This makes me think other Motu products might not be compliant.
