Solved: Airplay does not play
#1
Hello everyone,

I have been using Moode for a while, but only as a "passive" user: I have some computer knowledge on Windows but I am almost completely ignorant on Linux and derivatives. My system, which I use regularly, is based on a Raspberry Pi4 connected to a Synology NAS. Recently a dear friend shared with me his AppleMusic subscription, but if I try to connect to Moode from my iPhone se2020 via Airplay, the player, although it warns me that it has connected via Airplay to the phone and shows the album cover, does not play any sound.
Furthermore, when it shows the album cover, all the Moode buttons disappear (play, pause, menu, etc. etc.).
If I close the screen, and therefore the connection with Airplay, the player resumes working normally reading the files from the NAS.
What am I doing wrong? Huh

Thanks in advance to everyone!

@Robblues

The AirPlay sender—-your phone in this case—-controls the volume.

Once you have connected via AirPlay and start playing, you need to use the volume buttons on your iPhone to increase the volume.

If I remember correctly, the volume will be 0 on initial connection.

Nobody is born knowing all this stuff. I'm old enough to have learned a lot, but everyday I discover something I didn't know.

Live long and prosper!
