Spotify playlists without Spotify Connect

Hi all,

MoOde works excellent with the Spotify render.  

However, for my stand alone radio project, I like to play a Spotify playlist, without another app initiating it (and being connected via Spotify Connect).

In other words, is it possible to log in with a Spotify account on MoOde and play the playlist within that account?

Would this be possible?

moOde uses librespot repo but maybe one of the other repos at librespot.org might provide a headless Spotify client. ??
