I have the mode audio player installed with a Justboom dac hat and am very happy with the sound but have a problem when playing DSD files. When playing Flac files the volume control works fine but when playin DSD files there is no control at all with the volume going to full blast even with it set at one. Can anyone help please.

MPD does not support software volume for DSD file.

Try switch to hardware if you can.
