I do have now 4 RPi's in my house which all access the same library via NFSv4. While I listen, I often mark a Title/song as favourite on that system I currently use.
Now I wonder , if it is possible to share playlists between my four RPi's ?
I don't think so, but never tried. I assume Moode is building ab local on the RPi the database with all albums and tracks. But every track will get a different DB ID on each RPi. So when I share the playlist, the DB ID will be different and so the content of the lists will be different ?
Ok, meanwhile I found it: in '/var/lib/mpd/playlists' the playlists are stored as m3u files, which are normal ASCII files and contain the full path to the track.
So the playlists are easy to share and I might setup an rsync to copy them around my 4 devices. Cool !
