All the sudden : library not available anymore...
#1
Hi there,

moOde is really nice, but it seems it has a real roblem with Networked libraries.

It was working superbly since several days.
But, all the sudden the library stopped responding.
restarted computer and... IMPOSSIBLE to get to the library again.
If I use "Scan" it recognizes the shared path, but that has NEVER worked.
So I enter the IP address of server : "192.168.1.10/MUSIC" which worked previously.
But no... Now it does not work anymore.
Reason is "permission denied"...

What ? Permission denied ?
Any identification I try fails...
My login and password are correct ; I tried user ID, root and the permissions used on the drive to share...
Eveything fails.
This is super frustrating.

Any idea or help with this superbly annoying problem ?

Regards.

EDIT : I found a "workaround". I entered the SMB settings and created a new share. I configured that share to allow guest access. And then I connected with user "nobody" and no password. It worked...

EDIT : and... Dropped again ! What am I doing wrong ?

EDIT 3 : rebooted to try to fix the problem and... now spinning wheel all the way. Moode is defintely much too technical for a noob like me :-( Reflashing the whole moOde. It seems I am unlucky at updating it online :-(

The spinning wheel could just have been the update taking a long time. It can take nearly an hour on one of my systems.
The moOde log (moodeutl -l) might give some clues as to why the mount is failing.
