Thanks for the forum access. I am currently working on an rfid enabled audioplayer with moode, and joined here for some troubleshooting and advice. Excited to show the finished project once completed.

I'm working to built a headless player, where mp3 files are stored locally to the Rpi4 SD card. Artist and Album titles are written to the rfid tags, when an rfid tag is read and see's that data, it should locate the album files and que/play them. I'm currently having some bugs with it, so I posted a thread in the support section

Is this like some kind of proximity network where you walk around with the player and as it encounters readers music starts playing?

No, it's more of a digital cassette player. rfid tags with an artist/album string, will be added into blank cassettes and loaded into the player, the module then reads and plays the album that cassette references from the local storage.
