Solved: RPi4 with DigiOne SPDIF hat not quite working

    Hi Moode Audio people,

Not quite sure how to get Moode Audio to work with an RPi4 with DigiOne SPDIF hat (into a Schiit Modi Multibit).

I've been selecting allo-digione as a DT overlay under Audio but only getting an HDMI output option (screenshot attached). Anything else I need to do?

I can't get Volumio or PiCore to even show up on my network, so you're literally my only hope, Obi Wan Smile Thanks!

Use the force, Luke...which in this case means reading and following the instructions under the DT overlay box.

You've selected the allo-digione overlay, so reboot. You should now see this device as one of the choices in Output devices.

Change DT overlay to None, select "Allo Digione" from the Named I2S device list, Reboot and you should be all set.

Thanks Tim! That did the trick. I had tried that once before and the RPi disappeared from my network so I clearly did something wrong. The usual web interfaces didn't work after that, like Moode.local and Raspberrypi.local, but the device IP called up the interface and that works fine.

I got Spotify to work too. Did some reading on it and changed so many settings at once that I'm not sure what did the trick haha. Screenshot attached.

I had just about given up after weeks of trying to get Volumio to work again, but I hated the Wiim Ultra that I just bought so thought I'd try again. The DigiOne sounds so much more like music, much more involving. So the Wiim is going back and a donation's going to Moode. Thank you again!

Glad it's working :-)

If you have network issues don't hesitate to post. They are usually caused by things external to moode software and often we can help troubleshoot.

Also, I should soon be posting a thread titled "Upcoming moOde 9.2.0 release". This release contains some really nice updates including Spotify cover art and metadata on locally attached display.
Enjoy the Music!
