How stream Dolby Atmos music with Coaxial or optical output?
#1
Dear readers,

I am not a technician at all therefore I need your knowledge and help.
I now stream Deezer content in stereo HIFI with google chromecast audio via an optical cable into a separate Hi-End stereo DAC from Parasound and i have also a vintage 20bit dolby digital and 20bit DTS decoder from Parasound. This decoder can also downsample a dolby atmos signal to 20 bit to still put down better sound quality as dolby digital.
And I can also just play dolby atmos Blu Rays in 5.1 on that decoder. I am looking for a hi-end streamer that can stream better as a google chromecast in stereo but also has the ability to stream dolby atmos via optical or coaxial output. My sound system has no HDMI input. Are these types of streamers available and which one is a good choice? Thanks in advance for your help.
Google Chromecast has also many problems when streaming mixes you hear a short drop between the tracks. Is there a streaming solution that also can solve this problem?  Smile

Not sure if I completely understand what you're are asking for, but moOde on an RPi coupled to some thing like this might be the answer.
