Raspberry pi HDMI vs Dac

I want to set up another system at work.  I have Sonos sound bar w only HDMI. How would the quality be coming from pi’s HDMI?  I do have a spare pi ALLO DAC that I can use but it only has rca out? Can I get an rca to HDMI converter? Or any other suggestions?

How is the HDMI output vs Dac?  Will I noticed difference in sound going into sound bar.

I would of thought that the soundbar would have it's own DAC built in so plugging the pi into it via HDMI should work.  The soundbar would do the digital to analogue conversion itself.

Bit like plugging the pi into an AV amp via HDMI as if it was a blu ray player.

Also the sound quality would be only as good as the DAC inside the soundbar.

Also not 100% sure about this but Sonos DAC's only output up to 16/44.1 FLAC not hi-res FLAC'S or DSD.

This module uses HDMI connectors but it outputs i2s LVDS signal, not the standard HDMI protocol which is used by the soundbar. This would not work.
Converting RCA to HDMI only makes sense from an original analog source.
Your best bet is to use the Rpi HDMI output...

HDMI would use the soundbar's DAC so HDMI will be fine.
