SDCard corruption is rare in my experience. My systems get totally bombed every day during development with dozens of whole reloads, testing things like stream recording that writes a gazillion bytes of data to SDCard, etc, etc, etc.
I think I've had to toss maybe 3 or 4 cards in 5 years.
If you are really worried though just get an eMMC card.
