Does wifi revert to Access Point Mode if WIFI not found?

I'm setting up a player for someone, currently connected to my home wifi.

When I relocate the device, it obviously will not connect to my wifi.

Will the piZero w player revert to "Access Point" mode so it can then be setup for the other persons wifi?

Yes, that is what should happen if the configured SSID does not associate and no IP address is assigned.
