[PROBLEM] Pops/cracks with Moode 8.2.2, Musical Fidelity V90 playing 24/96

That workaround was for an old buggy USB driver and is not valid today.

If anyone is interested... Since I started my MPD Pi project, I've been plagued by pops/clicks for files above 48k. One of the reasons I switched to MoOde is this player's ability to re-sample higher res files down to 24/48, but it always bugged me that I couldn't play 24/96 files at full resolution without the occasional faint "tick" on my hardware setup.

where the DAC in question is the Musical Fidelity V90.

I think asking diyaudio readers again is a good idea for two reasons: there are likely to be more V90 owners there and you've already established this isn't a moOde problem per se. Anything we're likely to suggest will be a shot in the dark.

Yes, diyAudio would be a good choice. Also the Pi Linux kernel Git. Maybe the V90 needs a kernel quirks section https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux/blo...b/quirks.c
