PS - Mark, as a retired physicist I'm moved to ask, is there any relation to Paul Adrian Maurice Dirac, creator of the Dirac Equation for which he was awarded the 1933 Nobel Prize (shared with Erwin Schroedinger)?
Thanks for those ideas Kent.

Yes. PAM Dirac become a twinkle in his father's eye when his father met his mother next door to here. He was first educated down the road. The local science museum has a fine Dirac monument behind it. They have no respect for the monument, which has lost its marking and is breaking apart. They have a statue to Cary Grant out front, which they do look after. I and others have lobbied to give the Dirac monument some care and respect, without success. The local science museum does not respect scientists.

Thank you for asking!

Fabulous!

As for Dirac vs Grant, there was a Wizard of Id cartoon decades ago in which Sir Rodney, the hapless knight, was questioning why athletes get paid so much more than scientists are. The retort was, "would you pay to watch a physicist work?"

I trust there's mention of Grant's real name on the statue.
