Edit Reason: flash OS note
)
Been using Moode for quite some time now, and for whatever reason I have a repeated issue with the latest release and using the ad-hoc wi-fi. I change the SSID and password, screen shot it, I can connect (phones and computers)...computer even stayed connected all night...but once I disconnect, my devices all say "unable to connect to 'SSID' network.
restarted everything and no dice.
the only way to get back in is with a wired connection...which is tough at times.
anyone else come across a similar issue when setting up wi-fi?
thanks in advance
(I do use pi-imager and create a username and password when flashing SD card)

Does it behave so even if you connect for say 15 minutes, then disconnect for 30 minutes, then try to connect again? Or only after a long period of being connected?
Could it be a lease problem...? Or maybe the AP expires after a certain amount of time?

it’s seems to be no matter how much time.
why would the AP expire? I set it up as basic as possible. Set AP SSID and new password, restart.
I’m using iOS and OSX if someone has ideas on what settings might hang up there.
password gets saved, etc.

Just to make sure I understand correctly are you saying that AP mode works when first connecting to the SSID but then after disconnecting its not possible to connect to the SSID again?
If that's the case I can try a quick test on my end.

once a device connects and then disconnects, I can’t seem to reconnect. Even after restarting everything.

I'n not able to repro the failure to re-connect to AP mode on Pi 3B+ integrated WiFi. Client is an iPhone xR.
I tried various wait times between disconnecting from the SSID and reconnecting and was always able to reconnect.
ETA: Try changing the channel the AP operates on from the default of 6 to 1 or 11.

that's exactly it! I moved the RPi into a different environment and it connected as expected...thanks for the outstanding support.
