Solved: moOde 9 - Bluetooth problem
#1
I have a fresh install of moOde 9 on my RPi 3B and am having Bluetooth dropout problems on my Bose SoundDock II with i-Wave Bluetooth adapter.

The symptom is that the sound cuts out regularly at about 0.5 Second intervals. I have also tried it with my PLT-Focus Bluetooth Headset and it is much less severe, cutting out at about 20 second intervals for about 0.5 second but it is irregular.

I tried reverting to my previous Mood 8 SD Card and the problem is not present.

Is there a default setting in moOde 9 that I need to tweak? I see that the buffer size is 500ms which is the maximum option. Happy to test any suggestions ... - Robin

Try lowering the SBC encoder quality mode in Bluetooth Control screen.

Hi Tim, Thank you for the quick response and the solution to my problem. I dropped the SBC encoder one notch and all is well now.

Glad that fixed it. IIRC it was @jenzd that provided the tip a long while back. It just happened to stick in my head.
