I replaced the Pi device with a Cambridge MXN10 and play music via FooBar --> UPNP --> MXN10 --> Schiit BiFrost 2.......

I have to ask... Do you ever listen to it all?

Not the point from my perspective.   Who cares how much or how little content anyone else has?

The music is shared with many friends and family to stream as well as available for bit torrent (only the live music by artists that support the free electronic trading of their music) to a few groups I belong to.   It's also nice to go into an occasional deep dive of an artist

I acknowledge that isn't the point. I asked merely for my own interest and your response was very interesting, so thank you for it.

Back when i had physical media i had 4 of these https://www.can-am.ca/CD-storage-DVD-storage.htm drawers completely filled up. Many of the shows had 2 and 3 CDs in a single CD case and the drawers actually started to warp from the added weight. I also kept single disc shows in very narrow cases.  All the CDs (3500 or more) have been donated to my local library (commercial CDs) and the live shows were distributed throughout the taping communities.  2 of the drawers are now in my garage for storage and the other 2 are in my shed.

I will neither confirm or deny that i may have a touch of OCD when it comes to collecting music and book

It can so easily get that way.  I had a friend back in the 90's who claimed to have a bootleg recording of every single REM concert performed anywhere in the world.  Some were so bad it was almost impossible to hear the music over the crowd noise and the bootlegger's jacket/tote bag/underpants.
